Poster Hanging Best Practices
1. Post Only in Approved Areas
Confirm that each location allows posters and follow any specific rules or restrictions they may have (e.g., designated bulletin boards, private property permissions).
2. Obtain Necessary Permissions
Always get permission before posting on private property, including cafes, stores, schools, and workplaces. If posting in public spaces, verify that local regulations allow it.
3. Never Post on Government Property
Avoid placing posters on government buildings, utility poles, or any property owned by the government, as this is generally prohibited.
4. Never Place Posters in Mailboxes
It’s illegal to put anything inside mailboxes unless delivered by authorized postal services, so keep posters out of mailboxes.
5. Respect Removal Requirements
Note any time limits for public posters, as some areas require removal within a set period. Be prepared to take them down if needed.
6. Minimize Damage
Use approved adhesives or fasteners to avoid damaging surfaces. Steer clear of spray adhesives or anything that might harm property, as this can lead to fines.

7. Avoid Cluttered or Oversaturated Spots
Place posters thoughtfully without overcrowding other posters or obstructing visibility, as excessive clutter is often penalized in shared spaces.
